Mounting the television at ideal eye-level reduces neck strain, while fully concealed wire channels hide power cords, HDMI cables, and streaming devices completely out of sight. Below the screen, a minimalist floating console or built-in media ledge provides streamlined storage for audio receivers, gaming consoles, and subtle decorative accents without taking up valuable floor space.
The Challenges
- Dangling cords, HDMI cables, and power wires ruin the sleek look of a wall-mounted setup.
- Large TVs are heavy, and mounting directly into drywall without securing to wall studs risks the TV pulling off the wall.
- Overhead lights or reflections from nearby windows wash out the screen and limit comfortable seating options.
Our Solution
- Install an in-wall cable management kit to route cables inside the dry wall, or use color-matched cord covers/slat panel channels to hide wires without cutting into the wall.
- Use a stud finder to anchor the mounting bracket directly into wood or steel studs. If studs aren't positioned where you want the TV, use heavy-duty toggle bolts rated for the weight of your TV and mount.
- Use a full-motion (articulating) or tilting wall mount so you can adjust the angle away from light sources, and install blackout blinds or ambient LED backlighting to improve contrast.
